Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment at construction sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor site safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure workers follow proper PPE and safety practices.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training.
- Monitor work-at-height, scaffolding, excavation, lifting, electrical, and hot-work activities.
- Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection checklists, permits, and records.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and prepare reports.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, contractors, and workers regarding safety matters.
- Monitor housekeeping and ensure secure access and working conditions.
- Check safety equipment, fire-fighting equipment, emergency exits, and first-aid facilities.




- Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and applicable statutory regulations.
- Conduct emergency preparedness drills whenever required.
- Support management in maintaining a strong safety culture at the project site.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of construction site safety procedures.
- Knowledge of PPE, work permits, risk assessment, JSA/JHA, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
- Ability to identify and control workplace hazards.
- Good knowledge of accident and incident investigation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle workers and subcontractors effectively.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Safety Engineering preferred.
- Diploma / Certification in Industrial Safety will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction / civil project safety.
- Candidates with experience in building, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial construction projects are preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
