Data Modeler – Databricks Delta Lake / Lakebase & Oracle Cloud Migration

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in Databricks Delta Lake, Lakebase, Oracle migration, and up-to-date cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable enterprise data models, leading Oracle modernization initiatives, and building AI-ready data platforms using Databricks and cloud-native technologies.

This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, governance, metadata management, and cloud migration strategies while collaborating with business, engineering, analytics, and AI teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Lead Oracle database modernization and migration initiatives to modern cloud data platforms.
- Build scalable data architectures using Databricks Delta Lake and Lakebase.
- Develop optimized dimensional and normalized data models supporting analytics, reporting, and AI workloads.
- Implement Delta Lake best practices including partitioning, schema evolution, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Design metadata-driven data architectures using Unity Catalog.
- Implement enterprise data governance, security, and access management policies.
- Enable secure cross-platform data collaboration using Delta Sharing.
- Design scalable transactional and operational data solutions using Lakebase and cloud-native database technologies.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, Data Scientists, and Business stakeholders to define enterprise data standards.
- Develop migration strategies, validation processes, and reconciliation frameworks for Oracle migrations.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, metadata management, and master data management across enterprise platforms.




- Support AI/ML initiatives by designing feature-ready datasets and analytical data models.
- Optimize cloud data platforms for scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in architecture reviews, solution design discussions, and technology evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and cloud modernization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Databricks or Cloud certifications are highly preferred.
