Lab Technician – Job Description

Position: Lab TechnicianLocation: Badarpur, New DelhiWorkplace: Hospital SetupSalary: ₹15,000–₹20,000 per monthAdditional Benefit: Performance-based bonus

Job Responsibilities

- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures accurately.
- Collect, label, process, and prepare patient samples according to standard protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Perform basic sample analysis and interpretation of laboratory results within the scope of the role.
- Ensure accuracy, quality control, and proper documentation of test results.
- Follow hospital infection-control, biosafety, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Maintain proper records of samples, reports, reagents, and equipment.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff regarding laboratory investigations.
- Identify abnormal or inconsistent results and escalate them to the appropriate senior/medical professional.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- DMLT/BMLT or equivalent recognized laboratory qualification.
- Relevant experience in a hospital/clinical laboratory setup preferred.
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and laboratory test analysis.
- Ability to operate common laboratory instruments.
- Knowledge of quality control and infection-control procedures.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary hospital team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.

Compensation

₹15,000–₹20,000/month + Performance Bonus

Salary may be offered according to qualification, experience, technical skills, and interview performance.
