Job Description – Mechanical Design Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat Experience: 0–3 Years (Freshers Welcome)

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and hardworking Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in the renewable energy sector. The candidate will be responsible for designing cutting-edge mechanical systems, solar module mounting structures (MMS), tools, and engineered components while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and cost requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Develop fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, GA drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Design solar module mounting structures, support systems, and other structural/mechanical components.
- Perform design calculations, feasibility studies, and material optimization for cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Project teams to ensure design compatibility and manufacturability.
- Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications, IS codes, and industry standards.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and assist in technical documentation and design revisions.
- Support prototype development, site engineering queries, and continuous product improvement initiatives.




- Stay updated with the latest design methodologies, CAD technologies, and renewable energy engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory) and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, sheet metal, welded structures, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and mechanical design principles.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Solar PV Module Mounting Structure (MMS) design will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with IS standards, structural connections, and fabrication practices.
- Basic knowledge of PDM, BOM management, and design documentation.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹44,931.62 per month
