Vacancy for a Reputed FMCG Company !!Job Title: Production ManagerIndustry: Biscuit & Confectionery ManufacturingLocation : NepalBenefits: Accommodation providedJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee end-to-end production operations in a biscuit and confectionery manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, quality and food safety, manpower management, cost control, new product development, equipment efficiency, and continuous improvement to ensure safe, hygienic, cost-effective, and high-quality production.Job ResponsibilitesEnsure product quality, food safety, hygiene, and quality-control standards are consistently maintained.Monitor production, quality, maintenance, inventory, wastage, and operational performance reports.Effectively manage manpower, raw materials, packaging materials, machinery, and production assignments.Lead new product development (NPD) including formulation, trials, testing, packaging, and commercialization.Identify market trends, new ingredients, production technologies, and potential product opportunities in the biscuit and confectionery segment.Coordinate closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and other relevant departments.Ensure timely breakdown repair, preventive maintenance, and efficient utilization of production machinery and equipment.Monitor production costs, budgets, wastage, yield, and resource utilization to improve profitability.Maintain proper quality-system documentation and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions for audit observations/deviations.Prepare and submit monthly production, efficiency, wastage, quality, and performance reports to management.Conduct staff training and develop employees on production processes, food safety, hygiene, quality,



and workplace safety.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency, reduce wastage, and optimize operational costs.Ensure production activities comply with company policies, food safety requirements, health and safety standards, and applicable regulations.Maintain a safe, hygienic, disciplined, and productive production environment.Be willing to work night shifts, rotational shifts, weekends, or extended hours based on production requirements.Required QualificationB.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.MBA is preferred.Required ExperienceMinimum 6 years of relevant experience in a biscuit and cookies production unit or related food manufacturing environment.Minimum 3–4 years of managerial/supervisory experience in production.Strong hands-on experience in biscuit/confectionery production processes, production planning, quality control, and manpower management.Experience in New Product Development (NPD), formulation, product trials, and commercialization will be highly preferred.Key CompetenciesStrong leadership and team-management skillsExcellent production planning and problem-solving abilityStrong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality systemsKnowledge of biscuit and confectionery manufacturing processesCost, wastage, and resource-control orientationStrong coordination and communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet production deadlinesContinuous improvement and process-optimization mindsetStrong analytical and reporting skillsWillingness to work in rotational/night shiftsCompensation & BenefitsSalary: Negotiable based on experience and competency.Additional Benefit: Accommodation provided.Preferred Candidate: A technically strong and experienced production professional with proven managerial experience in the biscuit, cookies, and confectionery manufacturing segment.
