(Chemistry) or B.E./B.Tech (Chemical Engineering)About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to lead and strengthen the safety culture at our manufacturing facility in Jhagadia. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory safety requirements, implementing best safety practices, minimizing workplace risks, and driving continuous improvement in occupational health and safety performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety ManagementDevelop, implement, and monitor site safety policies, procedures, and standards.Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company EHS policies.Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and workplace risk assessments.Drive a strong safety culture through employee engagement and awareness programs.Monitor and improve key safety performance indicators.Risk Assessment & Hazard ManagementConduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) studies.Lead safety reviews such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives.Identify unsafe conditions and practices and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.Incident InvestigationInvestigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe incidents.Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Maintain records and submit reports related to incidents and safety performance.Emergency PreparednessDevelop and maintain emergency response plans.Organize and conduct mock drills for fire, chemical spills, gas leakage, and other emergencies.Coordinate with local authorities, fire departments, and emergency response teams.Training & AwarenessConduct safety induction programs for employees, contractors,



and visitors.Organize periodic safety training sessions and toolbox talks.Promote safety awareness campaigns and behavioral safety initiatives.Contractor Safety ManagementEnsure adherence to safety requirements by contractors and third-party personnel.Monitor contractor activities and compliance with permit systems and safety procedures.Regulatory ComplianceLiaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies regarding safety compliance.Ensure timely renewal and maintenance of statutory licenses and records.Support compliance with Factory Act, MSIHC Rules, Chemical Safety Regulations, and other applicable legal requirements.Audit & DocumentationLead internal and external safety audits.Maintain safety documentation, reports, SOPs, risk assessments, and compliance records.Drive closure of audit observations and improvement actions.Desired Candidate Profile10+ years of experience in Safety/EHS within Chemical, Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Specialty Chemical, or Process Manufacturing industries.Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and process safety management.Experience in handling statutory inspections and safety audits.Hands-on experience in incident investigation and emergency response management.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to influence and drive safety culture across all levels of the organization.Preferred SkillsHIRA, JSA, PTW ManagementProcess Safety Management (PSM)Emergency Response & Crisis ManagementFire Safety & Hazardous Chemical HandlingIncident Investigation & Root Cause AnalysisContractor Safety ManagementSafety Audits & Compliance ManagementBehavioral Safety ProgramsTraining & DevelopmentPreferred IndustryAgrochemicalChemical ManufacturingSpecialty ChemicalsPetrochemicalsPharmaceuticalsProcess IndustriesLocation: Jhagadia, GujaratExperience: 10+ YearsQualification: B.Sc./M.Sc.
