Role Description

The Head – Institutional Partnership is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for leading and expanding CBS GROUP OF COMPANIES relationships with universities and other academic institutions. This role involves identifying and developing new partnership opportunities, negotiating and closing institutional agreements, and managing long-term strategic relationships to support outreach, engagement, and growth objectives. The individual will collaborate closely with internal teams to design joint initiatives, campaigns, and programs aligned with partner needs and CBS's mission. Day-to-day activities include overseeing partnership pipelines, monitoring performance metrics, preparing proposals and presentations,



and representing CBS at meetings, events, and conferences. The role requires proactive stakeholder engagement, regular on-ground interaction with institutional partners, and continuous market scanning to inform partnership strategy.

- Candidates should possess strong Business Relationship Management and Partnerships skills to build, nurture, and sustain institutional collaborations.
- Candidates should possess Strategic Partnerships expertise to design, negotiate, and execute long-term, mutually beneficial agreements.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, track performance, and support decision-making for partnership growth.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in institutional partnerships, business development, or key account management, preferably in education, edtech, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders at universities and organizations, with a track record of closing complex collaborations.
- Robust leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams, manage projects, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Marketing, Education Management, or a related field.
- Comfort with on-site, travel-based work within and outside Chennai as required for meetings, events, and institutional visits.
