About the role

UK Client is building a web-based Flutter MVP for a platform that handles financial data, so security and reliability are central. The immediate focus is shipping the web MVP, with Android and iOS versions planned later. This is a hands-on delivery role working directly with the client's technical lead.

Requirements

Key responsibilities

- Build and ship the web-based Flutter MVP to release quality

- Implement clean, maintainable state management using Riverpod

- Integrate secure RESTful APIs for financial data, using tools such as Retrofit for backend interaction

- Write Golden tests to keep widget UI consistent across changes

- Work closely with the technical lead on reviews and onboarding





- Structure the codebase to support future Android and iOS builds

Must-have skills

- 5 to 10 years of professional software development experience

- Minimum 5 years hands-on Flutter

- Solid command of Riverpod for state management

- Proven experience building and consuming secure RESTful APIs

- Familiarity with Retrofit (or equivalent) for backend interaction

- Practical use of Golden tests for widget UI regression

- Comfortable working with sensitive financial data

- Strong written and spoken English

Nice to have

- Experience building MVPs in a startup or bootstrapped setting

- Fintech or financial services background

- Track record taking a web Flutter app through to mobile
