About Soroco

Soroco builds software that gives operations and business-transformation leaders at the world's biggest companies real visibility into how their teams work and a way to make that work better. The team behind it is a mix of founders, technologists, and academics from places like Harvard and MIT, and we were doing reliable AI work before GPT was a household name.

Our work graph platform runs on the digital interaction data enterprise teams generate every day, is backed by 600+ patents, and has topped Everest Group's PEAK Matrix for digital interaction intelligence for four years running.

Work itself is changing fast as AI takes on more of it, and we're evolving the product to keep pace. Beyond observability, we want our product to simulate what the future state of their work should look like.

About the Role

We want to turn the product into something closer to an automated consultant — a domain specialist that's genuinely good at analyzing a business problem, reasoning through it, simulating options, and proposing solutions the way a sharp human consultant would.

To build that, we need someone who already has deep, hard-won expertise in Insurance — earned either in consulting or from years building products for the industry — and who's excited to encode that expertise into an AI product. You'd work closely with product and engineering to define, build, test, and keep improving it, and your judgment would directly shape decisions tens of thousands of operators rely on. It's a chance to take a career of domain knowledge and turn it into something that scales far beyond what one person could ever achieve in a lifetime working alone.

Responsibilities

- Partner with product and engineering to define what good looks like in insurance and help productionize that vision.
- Translate your expertise — the frameworks, heuristics, and judgment calls you've built over years — into building the product strategy, value proposition, product-market fit and capabilities.

- Act as the domain conscience in product conversations — pushing back when something sounds plausible but wouldn't hold up in a real Insurance operating environment.
- Help discover the right segments of the market where product would add the most value to partners and customers, and direct energies in going after those segments.
- Validate outputs against how a real expert would actually think through the same problem, and flag where the product falls short.
- Work with the GTM team to define strategy and bootstrap partner and customer relationships that will shape the product's market fit.
- Continuously refine the product as it's used in the field, based on real customer scenarios and edge cases.

Requirements

- 6+ years of deep, practical expertise in Insurance — from consulting, industry operating roles, or building products for the sector.
- A track record of solving real operational problems in insurance, working with top carrier and broker firms, in areas such as claims (FNOL through settlement), subrogation, underwriting, policy servicing and billing, etc.
- Comfortable being hands-on and iterative — this role is not limited to an advisory-only role but to working closely with product and engineering regularly.
- Strong ability to articulate how you think through a problem, step by step, in a way others (including an AI system) can learn from.
- Experience using AI and a genuine interest in its application to problems in insurance and in seeing your own expertise scaled through a product.
- Nice to have: Prior experience building playbooks, frameworks, or training materials that codified expert judgment for others.
- Nice to have and not mandatory: Experience in product management and ownership.

What success looks like in this role

In your first four months, you'll have translated your insurance expertise into a defined point of view on which workflows the product should redesign and how — specific enough that engineering can build against it and partners can sell it. By eight months, that work will be in front of real carriers and brokers, and you'll be iterating it against what actually happens in their operating environments.
