Role And Responsibilities
Job Description: Assistant Manager (Analytics) – Commute/Transport
A Transport Analytics Assistant Manager for Employee Commute Services oversees corporate mobility programs, using data to identify optimization opportunities, control costs, and ensure/enhance safety. The resource needs to bridge data science and operations to create seamless, cost-effective daily travel experiences for corporate workforces.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance commute operations dashboards tracking key metrics including OTA%, OTD%, no-show rates, fleet utilization, scheduling efficiency, and per-cab occupancy
- Build automated reporting frameworks for daily, weekly, and monthly commute performance reviews
- Perform root cause analysis on operational deviations such as service delays, high no-show rates, and cost overruns
- Create data visualizations and executive summaries for leadership reviews and business presentations
- Analyze cost impact of no-shows, route inefficiencies, and underutilized fleet capacity
Operations Intelligence
- Monitor and analyze commute request patterns, shift-wise demand, and seasonal trends to support capacity planning
- Develop predictive models for demand forecasting, route optimization, and fleet deployment
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization through data-driven recommendations on route consolidation, vehicle right-sizing, and scheduling improvements
- Track and analyze safety incident data (major/minor incidents) to identify patterns and recommend preventive measures
- Support vendor performance evaluation through SLA compliance analytics
Platform & Tools Management
- Manage and optimize data pipelines from transportation management systems (e.g., MoveInSync ETS)
- Administer and enhance BI tools and dashboards (Excel, or similar platforms) for commute analytics
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy,
and timeliness across all reporting systems
- Collaborate with technology teams to improve data collection, integration, and automation capabilities
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Partner with Commute Program Managers, site operations teams, and vendor partners to translate data into actionable strategies
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives
- Train and mentor team members on analytics tools, methodologies, and best practices
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements through data analysis and benchmarking
- Develop and standardize KPI definitions, measurement methodologies, and reporting templates
- Drive automation of manual reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time
- Establish data governance standards for commute analytics
Essential Skills
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and data visualization is highly valued.
- Technology Tool Skills: Hands-on experience with corporate transport software (e.g., MoveInSync, Routematic), and GPS tracking dashboards.
- Strong knowledge of administration, facilities, and transport management principles.
- Proficiency in fleet planning and fleet management software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle customers, analyze data, and resolve conflicts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business/computer science
- 3-5 year's experience in transportation or facilities management
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Program management experience
- Knowledge of transportation demand management principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with transport management software/tool
