Job Description – PLC Programmer
1. Purpose of the Position
To develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based automation systems to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operation of plant machinery and production processes.
2. Programming
 Develop and modify PLC programs based on machine and process requirements.
 Hands-on knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs is preferred.
 Basic knowledge of PLC programming using Ladder Logic.
 Develop and modify HMI programs and operator interfaces.
 Troubleshoot PLC programs, I/O signals, sensors, and control systems.
 Interface PLCs with VFDs, motors, sensors, actuators, and other field devices.
 Perform program backup, documentation, and version control.
 Support commissioning and testing of automation systems.
3. Key Responsibilities
 Troubleshoot PLC and automation-related breakdowns.
 Identify and rectify control system and electrical interface issues.
 Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams for machine-related problems.
 Support installation, commissioning,



and modification of automated equipment.
 Conduct preventive maintenance of PLC and automation systems.
 Maintain PLC/HMI documentation, drawings, and backup programs.
 Ensure automation systems operate safely and efficiently.
 Support continuous improvement and automation projects.
 Follow company safety and quality procedures.
4. Education & Qualification
 Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or Mechatronics.
 3–6 years of relevant experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
 Positive knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC is preferred.
 Basic knowledge of HMI, VFD, sensors, and industrial communication.
 Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
 Willingness to work at plant locations and support breakdown/commissioning activities.
CTC: ₹8.00 – ₹10.00 LPA, depending on experience and technical competency.
