Job Description Job Title: Data Center Design Engineer Location: Kochi, India (Remote option is available) Industry: Data Center / Infrastructure / Engineering Job Overview We are looking for a skilled Data Center Design Engineer to design scalable, resilient, and high-performance data center infrastructure. The role involves developing detailed engineering designs, structured cabling layouts, rack configurations, and performing power and thermal calculations to ensure efficient and compliant deployments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data center environments, solid electrical engineering fundamentals, and expertise in infrastructure documentation and design tools. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Design & Planning Develop Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for data center projects Perform site planning and layout design for greenfield and brownfield environments Create engineering drawings, rack layouts, and infrastructure schematics Prepare rack elevation diagrams with power, network,



and cooling allocation Cabling & Connectivity Design structured cabling systems including fiber and copper backbone Plan fiber routing ensuring redundancy and scalability Execute P2P port mapping and connectivity documentation Design high-density GPU cabling architecture Power & Cooling Perform power load calculations and UPS capacity planning Validate redundancy models such as N+1 and 2N Conduct thermal calculations and cooling capacity planning Collaboration & Compliance Work with network, electrical, and facilities teams for integrated planning Ensure adherence to standards such as TIA-942 and Uptime guidelines Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory) Strong understanding of electrical distribution and grounding systems Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar tools Experience 4–8 years of experience in data center design Hands-on experience in structured cabling and fiber planning Experience with power distribution and cooling systems Exposure to enterprise or hyperscale data center projects preferred Preferred Certifications CDCP / CDCS / CDCE RCDD / Structured Cabling certifications Data Center Design or Electrical Infrastructure certifications
