Role Description The Ignition Developer will design, develop, and maintain applications and projects built on Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform,



including SCADA and MES solutions for industrial clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring tags and data sources, building screens and dashboards, scripting in Ignition (e.g., Python), and integrating with PLCs, databases, and IIoT systems. The developer will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to gather requirements, implement features, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliable system performance. The role also involves testing, documentation, deployment support, and adherence to best practices in industrial automation and cyber security. This is a remote contract role.
Qualifications
2-4+ years of experience with Ignition SCADA/MES development, including screen design, tag configuration, and scripting.
Strong understanding of industrial automation concepts (PLC/SCADA systems, OPC/OPC UA, IIoT connectivity, and field devices).
