Chestnut Storeys is looking for a confident, articulate Architect / Interior Designer to join our residential design practice. We focus on narrative-driven, timeless homes crafted through close collaboration and rich material storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Translate client lifestyle and spatial needs into transparent layouts, concepts, and 2 D/3 D visuals. Conduct site measurements, evaluate spatial planning, and ensure execution matches design intent. Lead client meetings, design presentations, and collaborative workshops with confidence and clarity. Coordinate on-site execution with vendors, local artisans, and contractors to maintain quality and timelines. Select materials, finishes, fixtures,
and textures aligned with our studio’s bespoke aesthetic.
What We Are Looking For
Communication & Presence: Exceptional verbal and presentation skills; comfortable engaging directly with discerning clients. Spatial Acumen: Strong grasp of residential space planning, site dimensions, and detailing. Technical Skills: Practical working knowledge of industry-standard tools (Auto CAD, Sketch Up/Revit, and basic rendering). Execution & Ownership: Confident, proactive attitude toward site supervision, quality checks, and vendor coordination. Education: Degree or Diploma in Architecture or Interior Design.
