About The Role

We are seeking a talented and autonomous Animator to join our dynamic team working on a high-profile VR game built in Unity for standalone headsets. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality character and weapon animations, rigging assets in Blender, and integrating them seamlessly into Unity. You will own your assets from initial concept to in-game implementation, working independently to meet project milestones.



Your expertise will directly contribute to the visual and gameplay fidelity of our VR experience, ensuring smooth, realistic animations that enhance player immersion while adhering to strict performance constraints.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hand-keyed character and weapon animation, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality work.
Strong skills in rigging and skinning characters and props in Blender, including joint placement, weighting, and animation controls.
Solid understanding of Unity Animator, including state machines, transitions, parameters, blend trees, and layers.
Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of tasks from brief to completion without close supervision.
Experience with FBX export pipeline from Blender to Unity, including troubleshooting import issues.
Knowledge of optimizing animations within performance budgets, including bone counts, clip lengths, and rig complexity.
