Research Fellow Opening- Neuroimaging & Neuromodulation
Advanced Neuromodulation Lab, Dept. of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai (www.doshilab.com)
Dr. Paresh Doshi's Advanced Neuromodulation Lab is hiring a Research Fellow to work on neuroimaging analysis in the context of deep brain stimulation. The main research focus will be around diffusion tensor imaging and tractography. The role isn't limited to one project: fellows get hands-on exposure to DBS lead localization, connectomics, fMRI, and microelectrode recordings, with room to pursue their own ideas within the lab's broader research goals.
This is a strong fit for anyone who wants to build real depth in neuroimaging and neuromodulation early in their career, with direct mentorship under Dr. Doshi.
Who can apply?
Open to medical students/graduates, engineers, and neuroscientists alike.
Required
• A genuine interest in neuroscience and neuroimaging
• Minimum 1-year contractual commitment (extendable) — this is a firm requirement, not a preference
• At least one original research publication
• Robust written and spoken English
Preferred (not mandatory)
• Programming experience (MATLAB and/or Python)
• Familiarity with neuroimaging software (3D Slicer, FSL, AFNI, MRTrix, Lead-DBS)
Compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
