ob Profile: Diploma Engineer Trainee (Power Products) Brief Job Description:
A Diploma Engineer Trainee in Power Products is an entry-level technical
position responsible for learning and assisting in installation, commissioning,
maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical power infrastructure
equipment including UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), PDU (Power Distribution
Units), STS (Static Transfer Switch), Battery Systems, and related power
protection systems. The trainee may be assigned to field service operations,
technical support from office, or repair center operations based on
organizational requirements. The role requires establishing and maintaining
professional relationships with customers, co-workers, and internal teams while
developing essential technical service skills. The trainee must maintain
continuous communication with supervisors and support teams, adhere to safety
protocols, and work towards providing excellent customer service across multiple
deployment models.
Duties & Responsibilities: Role & Technical:
* Work under supervision to assist in installation, commissioning, preventative
maintenance, and repair of UPS, PDU, STS, battery systems, and related power
equipment across field service, office technical support, or repair center
environments
* Support troubleshooting activities using diagnostic tools, technical
documentation, and remote access tools; assist in analyzing system logs,
alarms, and performance data
* Implement Field Change Notices, firmware updates, and technical bulletins;
study product manuals, technical specifications, and service procedures
* Maintain equipment in proper condition, provide remote/in office technical
assistance, and participate in product training and certification programs
Safety & Administration:
* Operate safely following all published guidelines, wear appropriate PPE,
follow lockout/tagout procedures, and report all incidents within 24 hours
