Emfex Energy is building a BESS business serving Commercial & Industrial (C&I;), utility-scale, and residential customers across India. We're looking for a Sales Engineer who sits at the intersection of engineering and sales — someone who can shape the right solution, build a credible total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) case, and walk a customer from "I don't fully understand storage" to a signed order.

This is a hybrid technical-commercial role. You won't just pass leads to a salesperson — you'll own the technical conversation, work with our EPC partners to design the right solution, and help close the deal. As an early-stage, fast-moving business, you'll help shape how we sell BESS from the ground up.

⚙️ WHAT YOU'LL DO

Solution development with EPC partners
- Work hand-in-hand with our EPC customers — our ideal customer — to understand their project requirements and draft the right BESS solution for their end client
- Translate load profiles, electricity bills, DG usage, and tariff structures into right-sized BESS configurations (capacity, power rating, application fit)




- Prepare technical proposals and solution briefs EPCs can take forward — focused on fit, value, and outcomes rather than deep electrical design detail
- Evaluate and compare supplier hardware on specs, warranty, cycle life, and bankability to recommend the right product for each prospect

Commercial & customer-facing
- Build and present TCO and payback analyses — framing BESS against diesel gensets, peak demand charges, and existing energy costs
- Lead technical discovery conversations with EPC partners and their clients to qualify and shape opportunities
- Handle technical objections around certification (BIS, ARAI), safety, performance guarantees, and O&M;
- Support proposal-to-close: pricing inputs, proof-of-concept / pilot scoping, and contract technical terms

Cross-functional
- Work closely with sourcing/supply chain to align proposals with current pricing and lead times
- Feed field learnings
