Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Database & Azure Migration Developer to support enterprise-scale data migration and modernization initiatives. The role will focus on reverse-engineering legacy Oracle PL/SQL, developing Azure Data Factory migration pipelines, performing source-to-target mapping and reconciliation, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and reverse-engineer complex Oracle PL/SQL, database objects, and legacy data processing logic.
Translate legacy database logic into Azure-based migration and integration solutions.
Design and develop Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for data movement, transformation, and orchestration.
Work with Azure Data Lake and other Azure data services.
Perform source-to-target mapping, data transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
Ensure functional equivalence, data accuracy, traceability, and cross-system consistency.
Collaborate with Data Modelers, Architects, QA, and downstream teams.
Prepare LLDs, mapping documents, migration specifications, test plans,
and validation reports.
Support integration testing, UAT, production deployment, and post-production stabilization.
Troubleshoot migration issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, performance, and cloud best practices.
Participate in Scrum/Agile ceremonies and coordinate with onsite/offshore teams.
Maintain ownership of assigned deliverables, dependencies, risks, and timelines.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in data migration, modernization, or integration projects.
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and ability to reverse-engineer complex legacy logic.
Robust experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake and Azure data processing workflows.
Experience with large-volume data migration, reconciliation, and validation.
