Respiratory Services Manager

Job Summary

Directs and coordinates respiratory therapy activities of the establishment. Administers respiratory care services.

Essential Functions

Strict adherence to the Company policy and procedure manual including state and federal laws
Able to perform all duties of the staff Respiratory Therapist.
Reviews and Qualifies Patients per insurance guidelines for Respiratory Equipment.
Reviews respiratory care orders to ascertain correct setting requirements.
Discusses provision or modification of patients' equipment or supplies with ordering providers, patients, and referral sources.
Arranges for respiratory care services at customer's location for the setup of equipment.
Monitors RT staff to observe employee's demeanor, technical accuracy, competency and conformity to company policies.
5-day patient phone follow-ups on all recent ventilator and airway clearance therapy patients.
Answers questions about service.
Determines and assesses work procedures,



and best practice.
Issues written and oral instructions.
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
Complies with all Local, State, and Federal Regulations (ACHC, FDA, Federal, State, AARC guidelines,etc.)
Assists in developing job descriptions, recruiting, selecting, and evaluating personnel that meet the specific job description of Respiratory Therapist.
Establish, implement, and monitor Respiratory Therapists’ practices relating to working hours, conduct, documentation, and when justified, disciplinary action and/or termination.
Educate Respiratory Therapist and other staff on the laws, codes, and regulations that pertain to the services and equipment provided by the company and monitor compliance.
