About the Role

BAB Leather Products International is looking for an energetic and commercially driven Business Development Executive / Assistant Manager to develop the Indian B2B market for our range of finished leathers.

The primary focus of this role will be to introduce and develop our newly developed leather articles, including finished split leathers, with manufacturers of bags, belts, wallets, small leather goods and other leather accessories across India.

This is a field-oriented business development role involving regular customer visits, product presentations, sampling, follow-ups and conversion of new customers into repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and develop new B2B customers across India, primarily manufacturers of:
* Bags
* Belts
* Wallets
* Small leather goods
* Fashion and leather accessories
* Build and maintain a strong database of leather-goods manufacturers and potential customers across major manufacturing clusters in India.
* Travel regularly to meet factory owners, purchase teams, sourcing teams and product-development teams.




* Present BAB Leather’s range of finished leathers through swatches, sample cards and physical leather samples.
* Understand customer requirements relating to finish, colour, thickness, feel, performance and target pricing.
* Coordinate internally for development of samples and new leather articles based on customer requirements.
* Follow up on submitted samples and trials and work towards converting successful developments into commercial orders.
* Develop current customers from initial contact through:
Introduction → Sampling → Trial → Approval → Order → Repeat Business
* Maintain regular relationships with existing and newly developed customers.
* Gather market intelligence regarding competitor products, prevailing prices, new finishes, colours and changing customer requirements.
* Submit regular reports covering customer visits, samples submitted, developments in progress, orders and future opportunit
