The Senior Analyst, Workday will be responsible for serving as the subject matter expert (SME) for our core Workday modules, bridging the gap between human resources and technology. The role oversees the configuration, enhancement, and daily support for Workday Absence and Core HCM. The focus is on ensuring day-to-day operational excellence, optimizing systems, driving process efficiencies, and ensuring a seamless experience for our global workforce. The role expands to include leading system readiness, process improvement, stakeholder management, and evaluating bi-annual feature releases across HR teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- System Configuration & Optimization: Lead the functional design, configuration, and testing as the primary SME for the Workday Absence and Core HCM modules
- Advanced Absence Management: Architect, configure, and maintain complex Time Off and Leave of Absence (LOA) plans, period schedules, accrual calculations, and balance limits across multiple worker types (corporate vs. retail

- Core HCM & Employee Lifecycle: Configure and support core HCM processes, including supervisory organizations, position management, staffing models, andcomplex employee lifecycle business processes (e.g., hire, transfer, terminate, job changes)
- Compliance & Localization: Translate regional and state-specific legal requirements into system rules, managing precise usage caps, legacy PTO carryovers, and conditional logic.
- Advanced Absence Mechanics: Build and maintain energetic holiday calendars, configure PTO borrowing features, and ensure accurate system behavior during complex worker transitions.
- Release Management: Evaluate bi-annual Workday feature releases for Absence and Core HCM, present strategic recommendations to stakeholders, and manage the testing and deployment of adopted features.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Gather business requirements from HR leaders, translating complex operational needs
