Responsibilities:
1) Operations Management: Oversee an operational area with guidance from senior colleagues. Could involve responsibility for development or delivery (or both).
2) Work Scheduling and Allocation: Develop medium- or long-term work schedules that enable the organization to achieve its business goals. Involves coordinating across multiple teams.
3) Leadership and Direction: Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
4) Budgeting: Develop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues.
5) Quality Assurance: Help management to implement quality assurance change initiatives and/or make continuous operational improvements.
6) Supplier Management: Monitor, review,



and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of smaller suppliers to recommend and ensure delivery of improvements by suppliers or to renegotiate or change contract/supplier.
7) Performance Management: Develop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization's performance management systems to improve personal performance. Or manage and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold people accountable for achieving them, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.
8) Organizational Capability Building: Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their capabilities. Provide training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill perso
