We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting firm in Dwarka, Sector 7, New Delhi.
The ideal candidate will have strong practical knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, payroll and accounts finalisation. The role requires the ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Manage and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare financial statements and management reports.
Prepare and review trial balances, ledgers, Profit & Loss statements and balance sheets.
Assist with finalisation of accounts, including year-end adjustments and closing entries.
Handle payroll processing and maintain payroll-related records.
Support audit requirements and prepare necessary documentation.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Work with QuickBooks,



Xero or similar accounting software.
Use Microsoft Excel for reconciliations, financial analysis and reporting.
Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Ensure all accounting activities are completed accurately and within prescribed deadlines.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant hands-on accounting experience preferred.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Practical experience in accounts finalisation.
Valuable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, sorting, filtering and financial data analysis.
Ability to independently manage accounting tasks.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
Preferred Skills
Experience with QuickBooks, Xero or similar accounting software.
