Role -Cloud Database Administrator (PostgreSQL | Azure | AWS)
Skill Set -PostgreSQL (13.x to latest), Azure Database for PostgreSQL Adaptable Server, AWS RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, performance tuning, query execution plan analysis, cloud database migrations, PostgreSQL major version upgrades, backup/restore and disaster recovery, Linux, scripting (Shell/Python/PowerShell), IaC (Terraform/ARM/CloudFormation)

Skills / Competencies
Must‑Have
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (13.x to latest versions)
• Expertise in Azure PostgreSQL Versatile Server and AWS RDS / Aurora PostgreSQL
• Strong database performance tuning and optimization skills
• Query execution plan analysis, indexing, and troubleshooting expertise
• Proven experience in cloud database migrations and PostgreSQL major version upgrades
• Knowledge of backup/restore strategies, HA/DR implementations, and PITR
• Familiarity with Linux environments and database internals
• Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills




• Ability to work in high-pressure production environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Good‑to‑Have
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and stateful workloads
• Knowledge of KEDA, HPA/VPA for DB-related workloads
• Exposure to encryption technologies (KMS, Key Vault, CMK)
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Exposure to multi-tenant architectures and cross-subscription/tenant setups
• Experience in cost optimization initiatives
• Documentation and reporting skills for RCA, audits, and compliance
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Azure Database / Administrator, AWS Certified Database Specialty or Solutions Architect, PostgreSQL certifications
