Rajiv Gandhi Aviation (RGAA) is looking for an Avionics & Embedded Systems Design Engineer Intern to join our engineering team working on the development of an advanced indigenous fixed-wing UAV platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of embedded software, flight controls, sensors, navigation and real aircraft hardware. You will work from simulation and bench testing through avionics integration and prototype flight testing.
What you will work on
Configure, integrate and tune flight-control systems using ArduPilot, PX4 or equivalent autopilot platforms.
Work with flight controllers such as Pixhawk, Cube or similar hardware and integrate them with aircraft subsystems.
Develop embedded software and engineering tools using C++, Python and MATLAB/Simulink.
Integrate navigation sensors including GNSS, IMU/INS, barometers, airspeed sensors and related avionics hardware.
Support development and testing of navigation logic for degraded or unavailable GNSS conditions.
Build and execute Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL)



simulations before deployment on physical prototypes.
Develop and tune control loops and analyse aircraft behaviour using simulation and real flight data.
Manage avionics Size, Weight, Power and Cooling (SWaP-C) requirements.
Support wiring, power distribution, interfaces, basic PCB integration and EMI/EMC considerations.
Perform bench testing, ground testing, flight-log analysis, troubleshooting and iterative system improvement.
Work closely with aerodynamic, mechanical and systems engineers during full-aircraft integration and testing.
Maintain transparent engineering documentation covering software, hardware interfaces, test results and design decisions.
What we are looking for
Students or recent graduates in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Aerospace, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong programming fundamentals in C++ and/o
