Government Business Development & Pre-Bid Manager

Government Relations | Pre-Bid Business Development | GeM & E-Procurement

Role Objective/n

To develop and maintain relationships with government departments, PSUs, institutions and procurement officials; identify upcoming IT requirements before tenders are released; coordinate legitimate pre-bid activities and solution discussions; and convert these opportunities into business through GeM and government e-procurement portals.

Key Responsibilities/n

1. Government Department Relationship Building

/n

/n
- Regularly visit government departments, PSUs, autonomous bodies and government institutions.
/n
- Develop skilled relationships with relevant procurement, IT, administration and user departments.
/n
- Understand upcoming IT requirements, budgets, projects and procurement plans.
/n
- Maintain regular follow-ups and department visit records.
/n
- Build KN Computers as a known and reliable IT solutions vendor.
/n

2. Pre-Bid Business Development

/n

/n




- Identify upcoming requirements before tender publication through legitimate market intelligence and department interactions.
/n
- Understand the department's technical and commercial requirements.
/n
- Coordinate with KN Computers' technical/pre-sales team to propose suitable solutions.
/n
- Track DPRs, budget approvals, technical specifications and procurement plans where publicly/legitimately available.
/n
- Monitor opportunities from concept → approval → tender → award.
/n

3. GeM & E-Procurement

/n

/n
- Monitor GeM, CPPP and relevant state/department e-procurement portals.
/n
- Identify relevant tenders and bids for IT hardware, networking, servers, security, CCTV, POS, printers, AV, AMC, etc.
/n
- Coordinate with the Bid Manager for tender participation.
/n
- Track corrigendums, pre-bid meetings, technical clarifications and bid timelines.
/n
