The Concept Designer for footwear is responsible for creating innovative and trend-forward shoe concepts that align with the brand’s identity and market needs. This role involves translating ideas into visual designs, exploring materials and construction techniques, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original footwear concepts from initial idea to detailed design presentation.
- Conduct trend research (fashion, materials, colours, consumer behaviour)
- Create sketches, renderings, and digital designs (2D/3D)
- Collaborate with product developers, engineers, and marketing teams
- Explore new materials, technologies, and sustainable solutions
- Ensure designs align with brand identity and target customer
- Stay updated with industry trends and competitor products
- Bachelor’s degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in footwear or product design (preferred)
- Strong sketching and visualization skills
- Proficiency in design software.
- Understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Strong creativity with attention to detail
- Valuable communication and presentation skills
- Experience in athletic, casual, Sports or luxury footwear categories
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
