Key Responsibilities
- Operate 12KW (13m x 3m bed size) Fiber Laser cutting machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, cutting layouts, and job specifications.
- Load and unload sheets/plates and position materials correctly.
- Set machine parameters such as laser power, cutting speed, gas pressure, and focus according to material and thickness.
- Load and verify programs and DXF cutting files.
- Perform first-piece inspection and ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Monitor machine operation and identify cutting defects or abnormal conditions.
- Maintain proper material identification and minimize material wastage.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, nozzle/lens inspection, and basic machine maintenance.
- Report machine faults, tool/nozzle issues, and quality problems to the supervisor.
- Follow production schedules and achieve required output and quality targets.
- Strictly follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or a related technical field preferred.
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines is preferred.
- Knowledge of sheet-metal cutting processes and different material grades/thicknesses.
