Job Title-Linux/Unix Security Engineer
- Job Description-The Security Engineer will support the day-to-day operations and development of the bank security suite of products with key objective in designing, developing, deploying, maintaining and enhancing the Bank’s infrastructure security capabilities specifically for Linux/UNIX platforms.
- Handle change requests for Linux/UNIX systems.
- Perform Linux/UNIX server takeover process and security hardening compliance verification processes.
- Support rectification of security hardening failures for Linux/UNIX servers in accordance with the established Bank’s Security Standards.
- Carry out rectification of password change failures for privileged accounts.
- Perform audit extraction and review for Linux/UNIX systems.
- Write documentation (Security Standards, Access Control Baseline, Processes).
Responsibilties:
- Responsible for Linux/UNIX security hardening in accordance with the established Bank’s Security Standards.
- Perform Linux/UNIX server takeover process and security hardening compliance verification processes.
- Granting and assignment of access privileges based on the approved access control matrix for Linux/UNIX platform.
- Troubleshoot access and privilege issues. Identify and rectify issues, as well as proper escalation to management.
- Provide appropriate technical guidance and advisory on Linux/UNIX platform security matters.
- Implementation and administration of System Access Control using SUDO on Linux/UNIX platform.
- Responsible for Linux/UNIX privileged IDs lifecycle (On-boarding to CyberArk Password Vault, rectification of privileged IDs password change failures, and decommissioning of privileged IDs).
- Develop and establish access control baseline, processes and procedures to ensure open system workplace is properly and accurately secure in accordance with the regulatory, bank and industry standards.
