About this role:
The Cloud Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for developing Gartner’s capabilities in automating and streamlining IT infrastructure processes and DevOps tasks while improving Gartner’s self-service capabilities using public cloud platforms and open-source technologies.

As a Principal Architect and People Manager within the Cloud COE Team, you will play a dual role: serving as an expert contributor in cloud architecture and automation, while also providing leadership and management to a team of talented cloud engineers and architects.



You will be responsible for developing Gartner’s capabilities in automating and streamlining IT infrastructure processes and DevOps tasks, improving self-service capabilities, and fostering a high-performing, cooperative team environment. This team, with broad and expert knowledge across technology stacks and architectural patterns, values knowledge sharing and unified group strategy. You will provide leadership, innovation, timely delivery, and the ability to articulate business value—both as an individual contributor and as a manager.

What you will do:
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in AWS services architecture and governance.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cloud engineers and architects, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Drive cloud native and designed-for-failure architectures across the enterprise.
