Bodyshop Manager - Job Profile
- Manage daily operations of the body repair shop, including denting, painting, welding, and accident repairs.
- Supervise technicians, denters, painters, electricians, and helpers.
- Ensure vehicles are repaired according to Maruti Suzuki quality standards and SOPs.
- Monitor job allocation, repair time, productivity, and vehicle delivery.
- Inspect repaired vehicles for quality, fitment, paint finish, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, surveyors, customers, and spare-parts departments for accident claims.
- Control bodyshop expenses, material consumption, wastage, and profitability.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, paint booth, denting machines, and safety equipment.
- Track pending jobs, repeat repairs, customer complaints, and TAT (Turnaround Time).
- Maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, documentation, and compliance.
- Prepare and review MIS reports/KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, TAT,



CSI, and profitability.
- Train and motivate technicians to improve quality and productivity.

Typical skills required
- Automobile/Mechanical background, preferably with bodyshop or accident-repair experience.
- Good knowledge of denting, painting, estimation, insurance claims, and vehicle body repair.
- Team-management and customer-handling skills.
- Knowledge of workshop KPIs and dealer processes.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery targets.
