Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design team by assigning daily tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Review and validate CAD models and engineering drawings for:
- Dimensional accuracy
- Manufacturability
- GD&T; standards
- Assembly fitment
- Customer requirements compliance
- Coordinate between CAD and CAM teams by verifying:
- CNC/VMC programs
- Tooling compatibility
- Machining feasibility
- Process optimization for production efficiency
- Plan and allocate machine shop workloads to maximize utilization, minimize idle time, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Supervise CNC/VMC programming, machine setups, tool offsets, and work offsets to ensure precision and productivity.
- Perform in-process inspections to verify critical dimensions and surface finish before component unloading to reduce rework and scrap.
- Monitor quality control processes and ensure adherence to precision grinding, dimensional tolerances, and surface finish standards.
- Act as a key communication link between Design, CAM, Production, and Quality teams.
- Report production challenges, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
