Role of a Senior Recruiter

A Senior Recruiter is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, particularly for mid-level and senior-level positions. The role involves understanding hiring requirements, sourcing and evaluating candidates, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful closures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Understanding Hiring Requirements
- Work closely with clients or hiring managers to understand the job description, required skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Define the ideal candidate profile and recruitment strategy.

2. Candidate Sourcing
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, internal databases, headhunting, networking, and other channels.
- Build a robust pipeline of active and passive candidates.

3. Screening & Assessment
- Conduct initial screening and detailed interviews.
- Assess candidates on experience, skills, job stability, compensation, communication, and role suitability.

4. Client / Hiring Manager Coordination
- Share relevant profiles and coordinate interviews.




- Take regular feedback and manage the recruitment process until closure.

5. Interview & Offer Management
- Prepare candidates for interviews.
- Handle offer discussions, salary negotiations, counteroffers, and joining formalities.
- Ensure candidates join successfully.

6. Team Support & Mentoring
- Guide junior recruiters and support them with sourcing strategies and candidate evaluation.
- Share market intelligence and best practices.

7. Recruitment Targets & Closures
- Achieve monthly/quarterly hiring and revenue targets.
- Focus on turnaround time, quality of profiles, conversion ratio, and successful closures.

8. Database & Market Mapping
- Maintain an updated candidate database.
- Conduct competitor mapping and talent research for critical roles.
