We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to handle electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities in a process manufacturing setting. The candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration and automation systems such as PLC, DCS, SCADA, VFD and field instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation breakdowns.
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, VFD, control panels and automation systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters.
- Handle control valves, solenoid valves, sensors, switches and actuators.
- Perform instrument calibration,
loop checking and functional testing.
- Read and understand P&IDs;, electrical drawings, instrument loop diagrams and wiring diagrams.
- Identify PLC input/output faults and communication issues.
- Support installation, commissioning and modification of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
- Coordinate with production and other maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure maintenance activities are carried out according to plant safety procedures, PTW and LOTO requirements.
- Maintain critical spares and coordinate with stores for maintenance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability improvement activities.
