Workshop Manager – Electrical Equipment

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the safe, effective, and timely operations of an electrical equipment workshop. The role involves managing repair, refurbishment, rewinding, testing, assembly, and dispatch of MV/HV electrical equipment .

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day workshop operations, schedules, manpower, and resources.

Supervise engineers, technicians, supervisors, QC staff, and subcontractors.

Oversee repair and refurbishment of transformers, motors, generators, rotors, stators, and MV/HV windings.

Ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, within budget, and as per quality standards.

Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, QC/QA, Procurement, Sales, and customers.

Monitor job progress and resolve technical or operational issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field.

7+ years of relevant experience in electrical equipment repair, maintenance, refurbishment, manufacturing, or service.

Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience in an electrical workshop or similar industrial environment.

Strong hands-on experience with MV/HV transformers, motors, and generators.

Experience in electrical testing, repair, rewinding, and refurbishment.
