- Respond to all propagation activities and reporting to the Lead-Horticulturist.
- Maintaining records of propagation details viz., plant species propagated, number of plants generated for each species, method of propagation used, etc.
- Giving technical guidance to the field supervisors and gardeners viz., various techniques used for propagation, treating of the propagules with growth hormones for quicker rooting and better establishment, pot mixture preparation, nutrient management, pests and disease control, potting and repotting, irrigation systems and safety measures.
- Maintenance of store, maintaining record for usage of commodities like tools & implements and consumable (chemicals & other items) on returnable and non-returnable basis respectively.




- Maintaining record for supply of plants on returnable and non-returnable basis as well the procurement of plants from outside.
- Monitoring and assisting in all stages of nursery management activities.
- Preparing budget requirements for nursery maintenance.
- Ensure quality of plants propagated.
- Effective usage of mist chamber, poly house and increase the plant population.
- Preparedness for the supply of plants by propagating the same at our nursery as per schedule / target for orchard species plants, indoor plants, ornamental / seasonal plants, forest species plants, shrubs, avenue tree species etc., including seasonal.
- Any other jobs assigned to the Horticulturist from time to time.
