Role & responsibilities
- Perform Argon/TIG welding for tool, die, fixture, and machine-component repairs.
- Carry out fitting, grinding, drilling, tapping, cutting, and assembly work.
- Handle tool, die, and fixture maintenance, including repair and modification activities.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of tools and fixtures.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Carry out accurate measurements using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and other measuring instruments.
- Identify defects and troubleshoot tool/die breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Perform welding on SS (Stainless Steel), MS (Mild Steel), and other suitable metals as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and workshop equipment safely.
- Maintain proper housekeeping, safety standards, and tool-room records.
- Coordinate with Production and Tool Room teams for urgent breakdowns and repair requirements.
