EV Charging Permitting & Utility Coordinator

Job Summary

Responsible for managing city/AHJ permits and utility coordination for EV charger installation projects across the US. The role will coordinate between US cities, utilities, engineers, contractors and internal teams to ensure projects receive timely approvals and are ready for installation.

Key Responsibilities
- Submit and track EV charger permits with US cities/counties/AHJs.
- Coordinate electrical, building and other required permits.
- Coordinate with utility companies for service applications, load requirements, interconnection and approvals.
- Review permit and utility requirements and coordinate necessary drawings/documents with the engineering team.
- Respond to permit comments and utility requirements and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate inspections, meter installation and project energization.
- Maintain permit and utility trackers and provide regular status updates.
- Proactively follow up with cities, utilities, contractors and internal teams to avoid project delays.

Must Have




- 2–5 years of hands-on experience with US electrical/EV charging permitting or utility coordination.
- Experience working with US cities/AHJs and utility companies.
- Knowledge of EV charging installation and basic electrical requirements.
- Ability to read electrical drawings/single-line diagrams.
- Good understanding of NEC/local electrical requirements.
- Excellent English communication and strong follow-up skills.
- Good Excel skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to work US hours.

Preferred
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to accurately read and interpret documents, drawings and requirements.

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
