Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering, OR
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
- Mandatory: JLPT N2 certification (or higher)
Experience Required
- Engineering Graduates: 23 years
- Diploma Holders (DME/DAE/DEE): 35 years
- Prior exposure to customer service functions within reputed passenger car or commercial vehicle organizations
- Hands-on understanding of vehicle servicing, warranty administration, and technical fault investigation
About the Role
We're looking for a technically sound and Japanese-speaking qualified to join our team as a Warranty Engineer, supporting operations across the commercial vehicle segment. This position centers on managing the complete lifecycle of warranty claims — from initial evaluation through parts inspection to final adjudication — in line with established OEM guidelines.
You'll act as a critical link between Japanese dealer networks, in-house engineering and quality teams,
and the broader global warranty function, ensuring every claim is processed with precision, fairness, and within policy timelines.
Candidates should bring conversational and technical fluency in Japanese (JLPT N2 minimum), a solid engineering foundation, and working knowledge of commercial vehicle systems and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and approve/reject warranty claims raised by Japanese dealership and service networks
- Cross-check repair jobs, labor claims, and parts usage against warranty entitlement norms
- Study technical service reports, fault codes, and dealer-submitted documentation for accuracy
- Ensure every claim adjudicated aligns with OEM-defined warranty terms and conditions
- Flag inconsistencies in claims and guide dealers on necessary corrections
- Contribute to root cause analysis efforts for repeat component failures and emerging warranty patterns
