Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer with experience in lighting pole design to join our Pole Division. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SolidWorks and a robust understanding of design requirements for street lighting poles, decorative poles, and high masts used in public infrastructure and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and model lighting poles (street lighting poles, high masts, decorative poles, etc.) using SolidWorks.
- Create accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, and BOMs for manufacturing and costing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (IS 2713, IS 875, IS 2062, etc.).
- Coordinate with a structural team or consultants for wind load calculations and pole stability checks.
- Work closely with the fabrication and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and design accuracy.




- Collaborate with the lighting fixture design team for integration and mounting compatibility.
- Optimize pole designs for material usage, strength, and aesthetics.
- Manage design changes and maintain revision control and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in design, specifically in lighting pole or steel structure design.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks/SolidEdge (3D modeling, Sheet Metal, Assembly & Drawing modules).
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques (bending, welding, galvanization, etc.).
- Good understanding of mild steel, hot dip galvanized steel, and surface coating processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and client specs.
