The role is responsible for leading the design and development of complex plastic components and assemblies, ensuring robust engineering solutions that meet quality, cost, and manufacturability objectives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in CATIA V5 and a strong understanding of product design, assembly integration, and engineering best practices. As a senior leader, the candidate will drive technical excellence, mentor engineering teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, robust organizational and decision-making skills, and the ability to effectively balance strategic priorities with operational execution.
What you'll do
- - Lead and oversee the design and development of automotive plastic components and assemblies from concept through production, ensuring compliance with customer, quality, cost, and timing requirements.




- Provide technical leadership in the review and approval of 3D models, 2D drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering annotations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.
- Drive feasibility assessment of Class-A surfaces and styling data, guiding teams in concept development, manufacturability evaluation, and design optimization using CATIA V5.
- Establish and govern best practices for plastic product design, including master sections, attachment strategies, tolerance management, and assembly integration.
- Lead tooling feasibility reviews, including draft analysis, core-cavity development, ejection concepts, lifter and slider mechanisms, and manufacturing risk assessments prior to design release.
