The Mechanical Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that fabricated structures, machined components, bought-out items, and assembled equipment meet drawing specifications and quality standards at every stage — from incoming inspection through final pre-dispatch inspection.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out incoming inspection of raw materials (plates, shafts, castings, bearings, bought-out components) against purchase specifications and mill test certificates
- Perform in-process inspection of fabrication and machining — dimensional checks, weld visual inspection, fit-up verification against GA and part drawings
- Conduct stage-wise and final inspection of assemblies (crushers, screens, feeders, conveyors) including alignment, clearances, and trial-run observations
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and pre-dispatch inspection (PDI) documentation
- Raise non-conformance reports, coordinate with production and design teams for disposition and corrective action




- Verify calibration status of measuring instruments and maintain calibration records
- Support customer and third-party inspections at the works
- Contribute to root-cause analysis of field quality complaints and drive closure of corrective actions

Candidate Requirements
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
- 0–3 years of experience in quality inspection within heavy fabrication, machine building, or capital equipment manufacturing
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and weld symbols
- Hands-on with measuring instruments — vernier, micrometer, height gauge, dial gauge
- Familiarity with welding inspection basics; NDT awareness (DPT/UT) an added advantage
- Working knowledge of MS Excel for inspection records and reports
- Willingness to work full time at the Madukkarai plant

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
