Role: Backend Engineer with AWS

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 4+ Years

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services handling high-volume transactions.
- Own end-to-end development, including coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate through pair programming, code reviews, and cross-functional teams.
- Build secure, compliant, and data-driven solutions.
- Contribute to next-generation fraud detection and remediation platforms.
- Continuously improve system quality, documentation, and engineering practices.

Core Backend Skills
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kafka experience.
- Experience building scalable platforms processing millions of transactions/day.
- Solid knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with GenAI is mandatory.
- Python or other server-side languages is a plus.
- AWS Developer/Solution Architect certification is a plus.





AWS Skills Must Have:

Basics: familiar with AWS console, know how to trigger a lambda, how to trigger SQS, how to locate and find cloudwatch metrices, etc.

1. Compute & Serverless: Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda (serverless, concurrency, etc), API Gateway, EC2, and/or ECS/Fargate.
2. Databases & Storage: Experience with Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), DynamoDB, and Amazon S3.
3. Messaging & Event-Driven Architecture: Hands-on use of SQS, SNS, or EventBridge for async workflows.
4. Security & Access Control: Good understanding of IAM roles, policies, Secrets Manager, and KMS.
5. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Operations: AWS CI/CD lifecycle, practical experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK, along with CloudWatch for logs/monitoring.

Plus: Have experience migrating services from on-prem to AWS.
