Service Advisor – Roles & Responsibilities (Automobile Dealership)

1. Customer Handling
- Greet customers professionally and understand their vehicle service/repair requirements.
- Explain the service process, estimated time, and expected cost.
- Maintain positive customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate for timely resolution.

2. Vehicle Inspection & Job Card
- Conduct initial vehicle inspection with the customer.
- Identify service and repair requirements and prepare accurate job cards.
- Record customer complaints, vehicle condition, mileage, and additional requirements.
- Obtain customer approval before carrying out additional repairs.

3. Coordination with Workshop
- Coordinate with technicians and the workshop team for vehicle diagnosis and repairs.
- Monitor job progress and ensure vehicles are completed within the promised delivery time.
- Follow up on pending parts, repairs, and technical issues.
- Ensure proper communication between customers, technicians, parts and billing teams.

4. Estimation & Billing




- Prepare service/repair estimates and explain them to customers.
- Obtain approval for additional jobs and expenses.
- Verify that all completed jobs are properly recorded before billing.
- Explain the final invoice and charges to the customer.

5. Vehicle Delivery
- Ensure the vehicle is properly inspected before delivery.
- Explain the work completed, parts replaced, and maintenance carried out.
- Ensure customer concerns have been resolved before handing over the vehicle.
- Coordinate vehicle delivery as per the committed time.

6. Follow-up & Customer Satisfaction
- Follow up with customers after service.
- Collect customer feedback and address concerns.
- Work toward improving customer satisfaction and repeat service visits.
- Promote periodic maintenance and relevant service packages.

7. Sales & Business Development
- Identify additional repair and maintenance requirements.
- Promote genuine
