E-Commerce & SEO Specialist

Job Purpose:
Eisco is an aggressively expanding global manufacturer and distributor of scientific and educational laboratory equipment. We are seeking a high-ownership E-Commerce & SEO Specialist to take full accountability for the accuracy, catalog structure, search visibility, and commercial performance of our online product presence.
In this role, you will bridge structured product data management with compelling digital copywriting. You will manage catalog data hygiene end-to-end within our PIM backend, maintain storefront organization on Shopify, write search-optimized listing content, and leverage web analytics to maximize search traffic and conversion. A central focus of this position is translating detailed technical specifications into content that is both scientifically accurate and engaging for institutional and technical buyers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Hygiene & Storefront Operations
- Catalog Data Hygiene & Accuracy:
Systematically audit product listings against technical specification sheets to maintain accurate, high-quality data, proper taxonomy, and complete listing specifications.
- PIM System Custodianship: Maintain and enrich catalog data within our Product Information Management (PIM) system as the single source of truth feeding all digital sales channels.
- Shopify Catalog Management: Own day-to-day storefront organization, product collection architecture, catalog structure, and bulk listing updates on Shopify. (Note: Theme development, custom liquid code, and template modifications are handled by the web development team).
2. Copywriting, SEO & Secondary Channels
- Content SEO & Copywriting: Translate technical product specifications into search-optimized, engaging listing copy, metadata, and product descriptions designed to convert traffic into buyers.
