Role & responsibilities

1. Accounting & Finalization of Accounts
- Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting operations across all branches.
- Take complete responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual finalization of accounts.
- Prepare and review Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and related schedules.
- Ensure proper accounting of provisions, accruals, depreciation, prepaid expenses, outstanding expenses, and other closing entries.
- Conduct detailed ledger scrutiny and ensure timely rectification of accounting errors and incorrect classifications.
- Ensure books of accounts are accurate, complete, properly documented, and maintained as per applicable accounting standards.

2. Reconciliations & Ledger Control
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, cash balances, vendor ledgers, customer ledgers, and general ledgers.
- Monitor and reconcile inter-branch and inter-company transactions.
- Review outstanding balances and ensure old or unreconciled entries are investigated and resolved.




- Ensure all accounting entries are supported by proper documentation and approvals.

3. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance
- Manage GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, Input Tax Credit verification, and vendor mismatches.
- Oversee TDS calculations, deductions, payments, reconciliations, and return filings.
- Ensure timely completion of applicable Income Tax and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and authorities for assessments, notices, queries, and statutory matters.
- Keep track of compliance deadlines and ensure there are no delays or penalties due to the Accounts Department.

4. Inventory Accounting & Control
- Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of gold, diamond, silver, and other inventory.
- Reconcile inventory between ERP records, accounting records, and physical stock.
- Monitor purchases, sales, stock transfers, returns, adjustments, and other inventory movements.
