Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Linux Administrator with 6 months to 2 years of experience in Linux system administration. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Linux commands, user management, system monitoring, and troubleshooting. This role is ideal for candidates who want to build their career in Linux administration.
Key Responsibilities
Install and configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
Create and manage users, groups, and file permissions.
Monitor CPU, memory, disk usage, and server availability.
Troubleshoot basic Linux OS and application issues.
Manage software packages using YUM/DNF.
Perform routine patching and system updates.
Monitor system logs and restart services when required.
Schedule jobs using Cron.
Assist in backup and restore activities.
Maintain documentation and operational procedures.
Handle support tickets and escalate issues when necessary.
Required Skills
6 months–2 years of Linux Administration experience.
Basic knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Positive understanding of Linux commands and file system.
User, group, and permission management.
Basic package management using YUM/DNF.
Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, SSH).
Understanding of system logs and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Cron jobs.
Basic Shell Scripting (preferred).
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
RHCSA certification (or pursuing).
Exposure to VMware or VirtualBox.
Basic knowledge of Git.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Zabbix or Nagios.
Soft Skills
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Quick learner with a positive attitude.
Team player.
Good written and verbal communication.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts if required.
