Investigations Specialist VP Financial Crime Investigations – 10+ Years

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Financial Crime Investigations professional to join the investigations and financial crime compliance team of a leading global financial services organization. The role will involve leading and managing complex financial crime investigations, conducting in-depth analysis, identifying financial crime risks, and providing expert investigative judgement across high-risk and sensitive cases.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Financial Crime Investigations, AML Investigations, Transaction Monitoring, Fraud, SAR/STR, intelligence analysis and financial crime risk management, along with robust stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage complex and high-risk financial crime investigations, ensuring appropriate investigative strategy, analysis and resolution.
2. Conduct detailed analysis of customer, transactional, account and other relevant information to identify potential financial crime risks and suspicious activity.
3. Review investigation findings and provide sound, risk-based recommendations in line with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
4. Work closely with AML, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations and senior stakeholders on sensitive and complex investigations.
5. Provide leadership, guidance and quality oversight to investigation teams, ensuring cases are completed within defined SLAs, KPIs and quality standards.
