Job Title: STB Testing Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled STB/OTT Testing Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in testing digital TV, IPTV, and OTT video platforms. The candidate should have hands-on experience in validating Set-Top Box (STB) functionality, OTT applications, video streaming services, and end-to-end testing across multiple devices and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for STB and OTT applications.
- Validate IPTV, DTV, VOD, Live TV, Catch-up TV, and streaming services.
- Test EPG, channel navigation, recording, playback, parental control, and middleware functionalities.
- Execute test cases and report defects using defect management tools.
- Verify video and audio quality across different devices and network conditions.
- Work closely with development and product teams for issue resolution.




- Perform end-to-end testing of content delivery workflows.
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot application, middleware, and device-related issues.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA activities.

Required Skills
- 2-5 years of experience in STB Testing, OTT Testing, IPTV, or DTV Testing.
- Robust understanding of OTT platforms and video streaming technologies.
- Experience testing STB platforms such as Android TV, Linux STB, RDK, or Hybrid STBs.
- Knowledge of IPTV protocols and streaming technologies.
- Experience in test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
- Understanding of EPG, VOD, Live TV, DVR, and Middleware concepts.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail, QC/ALM, or similar.
- Good debugging and analytical skills.
